Emily and Elaine’s wedding at The Ivy House in Milwaukee was nothing short of amazing. Though they call Chicago home, Milwaukee holds a special place in their hearts, making it the perfect place to say “I do.” Their wedding day was a beautiful blend of love, tradition, and pure joy, celebrating not only their union but also the joining of their families and cultures.
The day started with an intimate first look at their hotel, followed by private vows shared just between the two of them. It was such a tender moment—just Emily, Elaine, and the emotions of the day beginning to unfold.
One of the most touching parts of the day for me was witnessing the Jewish traditions that carried through the celebration. The Ketubah signing, held with their families and closest friends, was incredibly special, setting the tone for a heartfelt and meaningful ceremony. Emily and Elaine chose to have two officiants—one being their Rabbi and the other a beloved uncle—beautifully weaving together their traditions in a way that felt so uniquely them.
The Ivy House was the perfect backdrop for their celebration, filled with lush greenery and a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the moment they were pronounced married, the joy was unstoppable! Guests kicked off the festivities with signature cocktails—a Wisconsin Old Fashioned and a Gin Gimlet—before diving into an evening filled with heartfelt speeches, nonstop dancing, and, of course, the Hora! The energy in the room was electric as family and friends lifted the newlyweds high above the dance floor, a moment of pure elation.
To top it all off, their dessert bar was a dream, featuring an array of treats, including both regular and Delta-8 macarons—a fun and unique twist that had guests buzzing (literally and figuratively!).
Emily and Elaine’s wedding was a true reflection of who they are—joyful, loving, and deeply connected to their roots. It was an honor to capture their day, and I know their love story will continue to be just as beautiful as the day they said “I do.”
