Some celebrations are so full of love, one day just isn’t enough. That was definitely the case for Leia and Ricky. After their intimate 2021 ceremony at Beulah Brinton, they knew they wanted to bring everyone together for a bigger celebration when the time was right—and in 2022, they did just that.
Their reception at South Shore Pavilion in Milwaukee was the perfect way to bring it all full circle. Nestled right along the lake, this venue was such a stunning spot for a summer celebration. Before the party kicked off, we took a little time to wander the grounds and capture some portraits of Leia and Ricky. It was relaxed and low-key—just enough to soak in the moment before they jumped into party mode.
Once guests started arriving, the vibe shifted into full-on celebration. Leia and Ricky greeted everyone warmly, sharing hugs, laughs, and snapping a few group photos as loved ones filtered in. I love receptions like this—where the focus is simply on connection, gratitude, and joy.
Reception events are so flexible, and Leia and Ricky made the most of that freedom. There were a few traditional toasts, but one of the most memorable moments came when the two of them stood up to say a few words to each other. In front of all their friends and family, they shared sweet, heartfelt reflections that brought back all the emotion of their original ceremony—this time with everyone there to witness it.
