Not too long ago I went to Lake Havasu, Arizona for my uncle Jim’s memorial service. My Uncle Jim was a great man. The service was on a beautiful day and I was very happy to see my family who live in AZ. It was nice to connect with everyone for a short time even if we were there for a sad reason.
The thing about Arizona is – it’s beautiful – all the time. Plus we ended up coming into town on the weekend of the balloon festival. One thing you will notice about most of these photos is that they don’t hold fast to my typical style. Due to the nature of the reason we were there I really tried to allow my emotions to come through in these photos rather than capturing the emotions of everyone else.
Even if the trip had moments of sadness it was still a beautiful experience and not without a few fun photos along the way.
