Michelle and Hector’s wedding at The Lodge at Geneva National was the kind of day you don’t forget—full of joy, heartfelt moments, and a perfect mix of tradition and celebration. Their day was bright, beautiful, and so reflective of who they are as a couple.
We kicked things off with a first look, which gave them a quiet moment to soak it all in before the whirlwind of the day began. After sharing that special time together, we moved right into portraits—taking advantage of the time to get many of their posed photos done early. I always recommend this to couples when they’re up for it. It makes the rest of the day feel more relaxed, giving you more time to just be present and enjoy every little moment.
Their ceremony, officiated by a close friend, was sweet and heartfelt. The setting was stunning—with an incredible overlook that added something really special to the backdrop in wider shots. You could feel how much love was in the air as they exchanged vows surrounded by their family and friends.
After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate—and this crew knew how to throw a party. Cocktail hour on the patio featured an amazing mariachi band that brought so much life and energy to the evening. There was spontaneous dancing, singing (including both of their dads joining the band for a song!), and plenty of laughter. The rest of the reception followed suit: incredible speeches, more dancing, and a dreamy golden-hour sunset that made for some truly beautiful photos of the newlyweds.
It was the kind of wedding that felt joyful from start to finish—one where traditions, love, and community all came together perfectly.

Before this day, Michelle and Hector shared something quieter and equally meaningful: an intimate Catholic ceremony that honored their faith and heritage. I had the privilege of photographing that earlier moment as well, and it was such a beautiful reflection of who they are as a couple. Rooted in tradition and full of intention, it set the tone for everything that followed—and made their Lake Geneva celebration feel even more special.
