The best part of the south side of Milwaukee may be Grant Park which is where MacKenzie and Kelsey’s forest engagement session unfolded. I love Grant Park and truly enjoyed wandering through the lush landscapes of Grant Park, creating memories with Kelsey and MacKenzie. Plus! We had a special guest appearance at the end of their session.
MacKenzie and Kelsey, a charming couple with hearts full of love, share a special connection that’s as vibrant as the spring vibes at Grant Park. Their story is not just about romance; it’s about companionship, laughter, and a shared love for life’s little joys. Both MacKenzie and Kelsey were full of laughs during their session which I absolutely love.
Using Grant Park’s forest and beach for their engagement session was a stroke of brilliance at this time of year. The park was in the process of coming alive, and provided a stunning backdrop for moments of tenderness and silliness alike. We were able to use so many parts of the park as we wandered through the woods. The calm atmosphere of the woods is something that you get only in the spring as everything is waking up. The contrasting colors created a really lovely cinematic effect in all these images. The stone pier at the lake is one of my favorite spots, and the mist in the air added a touch of enchantment to the atmosphere.
It was a joy to capture those candid moments, freezing in time the genuine expressions of love and happiness. A special mention goes to the real star of the day—their adorable pup! Bringing their furry friend along added an extra layer of warmth and charm to the session.
