Carissa and Will’s wedding at the Pritzlaff was every bit as fun, joyful, and full of laughter as their engagement session. Which, if you remember, ended in a full-on lightsaber duel. These two just radiate personality and warmth, and their wedding day reflected that from start to finish.
We kicked things off with some getting ready shots, complete with a special appearance by their cats, in pillow form, naturally. It was the perfect little detail that made the morning feel even more like them. Their first look was sweet and full of happy anticipation, and then we hit the road for portraits all around Milwaukee.
Carissa and Will really wanted to prioritize time for portraits with each other and their wedding party, so we made the most of it. We stopped at the Milwaukee Art Museum another nod to their engagement session. We then headed to a nearby park where we had to snap a few playful photos with the Swan boats. It felt like we were just bopping around town with friends, capturing all the excitement and energy of the day along the way.
This is your gentle reminder that your wedding can look however you want it to and Carissa and Will did such a beautiful job creating a day that reflected their relationship and personalities from beginning to end.
Once we arrived at the Pritzlaff, we made our way upstairs for their ceremony, which was incredibly sweet and heartfelt. The Pritzlaff’s historic character and warm brick backdrop made it feel all the more intimate and personal.
After the ceremony, we snuck up to the rooftop just in time for sunset. And of course, in true fashion, we brought out the lightsabers for one more epic battle. It was such a fun little throwback to their engagement session and the perfect way to mark the transition from day to night.
Their reception kept that joyful energy going strong — a few heartfelt speeches, a lot of dancing, and an all-around incredible celebration. From start to finish, it was a day full of laughter, love, and personality — and I loved every minute of it.
